Today, I am blessed to have Anna Vocino with me. Anna Vocino is the founder of Eat Happy Kitchen and the author of two best-selling cookbooks. She is passionate about good organic food, high quality, no sugar added, and she sticks to a low-carb diet.

After being diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2002, Anna made it her mission to create easy-to-prepare, delicious gluten-free, sugar-free, and grain-free versions of her favorite comfort foods. Today, she has published more than 300 recipes between her two cookbooks, hundreds more on her blog (annavocino.com), and now, even more, can be found inside her recently released Marinara Meals.

  • Any sugar is still sugar. It's best to use the least amount of sugar to make food rather than artificial sweetener.

  • Americans have a sweeter-pro palette due to many foods containing so many sugars, which makes them addictive.

  • Grass-fed meats, pastured chickens, and eggs are cost-prohibitive for most people, but it is a better alternative for people and the Earth.

  • Changing your diet to a low-carb way of eating can improve brain chemistry.

  • Oxytocin is a type of Endorphin produced from laughter and joy that makes a person healthier.

  • Negative emotions come from things we don't like or don't expect, and you will experience them from time to time. What's important is changing your emotional response to things.
