Stacie Boyar is a licensed mental health counselor with a master’s degree in education. She is in private practice, specializing in depression, anxiety, and PTSD. She has recently written and published a book called You’re Not the Boss of Me! Which providing tips, tricks, and techniques to help those struggling with anxiety. Stacie also has a podcast called Namastacie where she offers mental health tips.

In this interview:

  • She explains anxiety, the problems associated with it and the symptoms. She also talks about when someone who experiences constant anxiety should seek professional support.
  • Stacie discusses the triggers (internal and external) of anxiety.
  • She talks about the importance of using CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to reduce or eliminate anxiety.
  • Stacie discusses PTSD and how she uses EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as a source of treatment.
