Welcome to another episode of the Smart Nutrition Made Simple show. I am your host, as always Ben Brown, owner of Body Systems, a one-on-one fitness and nutrition coaching company that helps you change your belief system around what it means to be healthy because we believe that your health determines your freedom today on the show, I'm excited and honored to have four-time MMA world trainer of the year, Mike Dolce.

Mike is a world-renowned strength and conditioning coach, weight cut coach, author, nutrition and fitness expert, and motivational speaker. He is best known for managing the weight cuts of UFC athletes such as Johny Hendricks, Ronda Rousey, and Thiago Alves. He is also the creator of the Dolce Diet.

In today's conversation, we chop it up about what it's like training elite M MA athletes and how Mike's nutritional philosophy sets him apart as the only coach in the UFC with a 100% success rate.

We tackle topics like fasted versus fat cardio and food quality versus food quantity. We highlight the benefits of spacing out meals and discuss some of the most common pitfalls that people make with their nutrition.

We also talk about the need to take ownership and personal responsibility for our dietary habits, explore why Mike prefers training the average Jane and Joe over elite athletes, discuss how one socio-economic status doesn't limit their capacity to achieve optimal health, and highlight the power of making small consist lifestyle adjustments for achieving the most impactful and lasting results.

I have a profound respect for Mike and his no-nonsense approach to nutrition and fitness, and his conviction to bring out the best in everyone he and his company works with.
