Have you felt misunderstood your entire life, so you stay guarded when interacting with people, waiting until you feel safe to open up and show them the real you? Being rejected is painful, and so is going through life guarded, pretending to be a version of yourself that isn’t entirely authentic.

Letting your guard down is risky, and you might get rejected. There’s also the possibility that by showing others who you really are, you create an opportunity for relationship trust and the type of connections you crave.

In this episode, I offer tips for revealing your thoughts by revisiting topics in conversations, whether during the same gathering or at a later date. And I share how taking the lead could change the dynamics of the relationship.
