Flourishing Friday (FF)- Welcome to Flourishing Fridays, where every Friday we bring you a Positive Psychology based life hack that will help you to flourish… We look at real life application of positive psychology, while giving you different strategies, tips and steps to put Positive Psychology into all areas of your life.

There are thousands of studies that have shown mindfulness meditation can positively impact mental and physical health. Meditation is a mind-body practice that offers many health benefits that include relief from stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, to name a few.

We all know we would benefit from meditation. How can we make it a habit?

  • How to do it daily?
  • Commit to just a few minutes to start at day. Start simply.
  • Pick a time and trigger.
  • Don’t stress if your mind wonders, bring it back.
  • Meditation is like training a muscle.
  • Training yourself to focus.
  • So long as you find new ways to come back to meditation.
  • Explore the process of habit formation.
  • Make a plan, what makes it stick.
  • Set implementation intention.
  • Create a system.
  • Every time you practice you will be forming a new habit.
  • See the benefit of meditation and see it as “mental Flossing.”
  • Accountability partner.
  • 30 day challenge.
