Jenna Parkany, the Founder and CEO of JC Creative Media, a remote digital marketing business primarily focused on helping business owners find their "digital voice” and tell their story, opens up about losing her brother in a tragic fire and then losing her "dream" job during the pandemic.
We dive into the heartbreak of discovering your dream job isn’t a dream after all, the internal conflict of not being able to present as who you truly are at work, overcoming the crippling effect of imposture syndrome, the sequential order being put to a halt during COVID, using job loss as an opportunity to discover what it is you 100% want to do (people pleasing not included), empathizing with an ex even when your paths split into differing directions, continuing to cultivate connection with a lost one, the heartbreaking tension of knowing they aren't here but feeling them here nonetheless, and why tiptoeing around grief hurts more than it helps.
