Upon completion of this CE activity, participants will be able to: Discuss unmet treatment needs for patients with severe, uncontrolled asthma, particularly those who lack an eosinophilic or allergic phenotype, Explain the role of thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) as a driver of eosinophilic, allergic, and neutrophilic inflammation as well as structural changes to the airway in asthma due to its position at the top of the inflammatory cascade, Recognize the potential of targeted therapies that block the activity of epithelial cytokines such as TSLP for the treatment of severe, uncontrolled asthma, Identify patients who might be eligible for treatment with novel/emerging biologic therapies that target epithelial cytokines such as TSLP.
