Abuse survivors often have a hard time finding their voice. Victims of abuse are often targeted by abusers with "super traits" like doctors, lawyers, and loving people, making it hard to separate them from their abusers. Because of the abuse they've suffered, survivors often feel shame and unworthiness, which makes them afraid to speak out. Dr. Jennifer D'Agostino shares about her own healing journey and how she helps others on their journey.

As a military psychologist, Dr. D'Agostino knows the power of creating a safe space to open up. Through therapy, survivors can voice their trauma and overcome their triggers. It's important to build trust with survivors and validate their experiences. As a fellow abuse survivor, she can support others on their journey.

During her healing, she dismantled her shame by understanding her triggers and allowed her intuition to distinguish between reality and fantasy. Using her own experiences, Dr. D'Agostino wants to build a community of support and validation for others going through abuse recovery.
