Shonda Ramsey and Jamie discuss their writing progress and plans for the fall. Jamie, writing under the pen name J. Lynn Million, is working on a series where she is reworking the book she started last fall and starting on the next one this fall. Shonda, who struggled with character development, is focusing on plotting her series. Both emphasize the importance of setting a story foundation and planning, having participated in NaNoWriMo in 2022. They encourage writers to set their own timelines and emphasize the value of persistence in their creative endeavors. Both Shonda and Jamie are participating in Authentically Created’s Workshop: November to New Year with a focus on writing a messy rough draft by the end of the year.
