Lorena Garfi was a fashion model working for names like Armani and Estrada and living in Paris. A dream job for a young girl. Was she happy? Far from it.
This is a poignant tale of a 15-year-old girl who, after winning a beach beauty contest, believed that her life would be filled with happiness. She left her small town in Argentina, filled with dreams, and moved to the glamorous city of Paris. Little did she know, the reality would be far from her expectations.
Life was hard. The pressure to stay beautiful and thin meant that Lorena found herself eating carrots and mushrooms while checking the calories in her toothpaste!
Now married with a family, Lorena wants to send a message that shiny things do not bring you happiness.
