Hello ladies, and Welcome to Episode 7 of The Career Woman’s Secret Playbook Podcast! I’m your host, Dr. Dawn, and in Today’s episode, I’m going to be giving you the down-low on the Career Woman’s Secret Weapon – SLEEP! OMG this is huge ladies…sleep can really affect everything we do, and today I am going to share some easy ways that you can not only make sure that you are doing better on your sleep goals BUT that the quality of your sleep is better as well!
Now if you don’t think that sleep is THAT important, let me just share a couple of fun facts with ya – here are just SOME of the wonderful benefits that you can expect when you DON’T get enough sleep. And by the way, the recommended amount is STILL 8-10 hours, although most of us are lucky to get closer to 6:

· Reduced focus and workplace productivity.

· Higher risk of getting sick.

· Impaired decision-making skills, and more impulsive or risk-taking behavior.

· You're more emotional or irritable.

So to help us combat these problems, let's put the easy tips I'm going to talk about in what I call our "new definition" of sleep by turning it into an acronym:

S – Start your Bedtime Routine at LEAST 45 minutes BEFORE you want to go to sleep.

L – Lower your thermostat to 68 degrees if you can stand it

E- End your day with a fabulous Bedtime Routine.

E- Expect to “put your money where your sleep is.”

P – Prevent Interruptions

Tune into Today's episode to get the low down on what I mean by each of these and I promise you that IF you follow these tips, you're not only going to be more productive at work, but you will have that extra pep in your step, with that combination, your possibilities can be endless!
