Gayle Long and Barbara Dehart are the co-authors of A Year Without a Man: A Transformational Journey which follows two women’s explorations, failures, and lessons learned through moments of clarity and confidence, relapses and lows, joys and heartbreak, and ultimately, healing. It’s the discovery that only through intentional commitment to live authentically can one begin to find themselves and see their life change forever.
Gayle Long is a licensed marriage and family therapist and runs The Empowerment Center, where she provides psychotherapy, coaching, and mediation services. Gayle’s specialty is working as a women’s divorce transition coach, helping women conquer their fears of being alone and empowering them to stand confidently on their own two feet.
Barbara Dehart is a media and technology executive. She often speaks at women's events and facilitates workshops on women's empowerment, organizational and personal transitions, and creativity.

Dr. Graham Taylor is a clinical psychologist, Chief Learning Officer at Triad, and founder of The Taylor Study Method, one of the Triad family’s EPPP preparation programs. He has over 25 years of experience working in both hospital and private practice settings working with individuals, couples, and families. Brad Kammer, LMFT, LPCC, is a California Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Professional Clinical Counselor. He’s trained as a Somatic Psychotherapist and has worked in the field of trauma for over 20 years, specializing in working with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD). Manuela Mischke-Reeds, MA, MFT is a licensed Somatic Psychotherapist. Julie Stevens grew up in Southern California and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area at 13 to live with her two moms during a time of profound social change, marked by the Civil Rights, Women’s Rights, and LGBTQ movements. Mary Jo Barrett is the Executive Director and co-founder of The Center for Contextual Change , Ltd. She holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois Jane Addams School of Social Work and is currently on the faculties of University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration, The Chicago Center For Family Health, and the Family Institute of Northwestern University.
