261_Leading by Example: How to Take Control of Your Health with Ben Brown

Welcome to another episode of the Smart Nutrition Made Simple Show. I'm your host, as always, Ben Brown, owner and head coach at Body Systems. We are a virtual one-on-one nutrition and fitness coaching company, and we help clients change their belief system of what it means to be healthy. And we do this with our pure science, proven results system.
Today, instead of our regular podcast, I'm excited to share an interview I did on the Success Flow Podcast with my buddies Phil Crawford and Steven Harris. In this episode, I share my personal story -- how my struggles with gastrointestinal issues ignited a passion for clinical nutrition and functional medicine and how, through years of study, I’ve come to realize that achieving health isn’t about quick fixes. Instead, it’s about treating the body as a whole, understanding the interconnectedness of our systems, and, most importantly, taking ownership of our health journey.
I discuss the emotional side of health, how mindset, belief systems, and perspective shifts are key to building a positive relationship with food and exercise, and why consistency, patience, and effort are the cornerstones of lasting change.
I’ll also dive into the importance of leading by example—how your health choices can inspire those around you, especially within your family. ,
Finally, I'll explore the role of coaching and support and why realistic, sustainable approaches are the only way to long-term success.
