Raj Patel, holds a Research Professor position at the University of Texas, Austin. He earned degrees from the University of Oxford, the London School of Economics, and Cornell University. With experience at the World Bank and WTO, he's testified on global food crisis causes for US, UK, and EU governments and is a member of the International Panel of Experts on Sustainable Food Systems. He received the James Beard Foundation Leadership Award in 2016. Patel has contributed to various publications, including The Guardian, Financial Times, New York Times, and more. He's authored several books, including "Stuffed and Starved," "The Value of Nothing," and "Inflamed." Additionally, he co-directed the award-winning documentary "The Ants & The Grasshopper" and co-hosted the podcast "The Secret Ingredient."
