Are you someone for whom all emotion comes out in tears? And do those tears prevent you from connecting with others?
I am a “crier” and for decades I hated that characteristic. My crying often led to frustration, feeling misunderstood, and consequently, I held back from telling people what I was thinking and feeling. When I finally accepted the tears and stopped resisting them or shoving them down, I discovered that acknowledging them and being honest with the other person created a deeper connection.
Today I’m sharing techniques I use when the emotions are so big, tears are inevitably flowing.
