Creator of the wellness app Elevate, life coach, bestselling author, yoga & meditation expert Faith Hunter, joins the podcast this week. We dive right into her beautiful grit story, which is nothing short of moving and compelling to say the very least. Faith has persevered through many tough situations, from family HIV diagnoses, living in New York City during 9/11, loss and transitioning careers. She shares how she discovered kundalini yoga, journaling and therapy and how that has evolved over the years. Faith also touches on Black Lives Matter and how the idea of therapy is becoming more accepted within the black community and the importance of women of color in this space. In the episode, Faith shares her journey as a businesswoman, navigating the pandemic as a yoga studio owner and simultaneously writing a book. We discuss her inner child, how she found her way back to God, love and heartbreak. Listen to hear each turn that led her full circle to where she is now. Life has thrown many obstacles at Faith. Hearing her story and how she was able to navigate through each chapter, and the self-discovery that came along with it is inspiring. I am thrilled for you to hear her beautiful grit and the power of perseverance. In this episode we discussed: • Faith’s work with AID’s advocacy and why it is so personal to her. • Her career journey from working in the non-profit space to current day yoga & wellness expert • Therapy within the black community and Black Lives Matter • Struggles in business during the pandemic • Kundalini, journaling, mediation and therapy • Inner child, spirituality and finding God again later in life • New cities, career changes, heartbreak and everything in between If you would like to hear more from Faith you can listen to her Spiritually Fly podcast, read her bestselling novel “Spiritually Fly”, download her wellbeing app Elevate and follow her on Instagram @spirituallyfly If you would like to do a 90-minute breathwork session with Gwen, which is a combination of somatic work, breath work, energy work, and integration into your daily life you can book a session here: https://gwencoach.as.me/90breathwork If you found this episode helpful, please share on Instagram and tag Gwen @gwendittmar and leave a rating and review - each one counts!
