38. How to homeschool and run a biz - Interview with Jennifer Peyton
Manage episode 302541296 series 2983486
Two kids under 6. Homeschooling. Entrepreneur. Jennifer Peyton does it all. I was (and am) in awe! During Covid she pivoted her business from coaching mompreneurs to specifically help homeschooling mompreneurs. Was homeschooling on her wish list? Not at all. But when she got her eldest diagnosed and found out he wasn’t entitled to extra support, she decided homeschooling was the best thing she could do for her kid. It was a search for sure, and still can be challenging (as you might here later on), yet she makes it work.
How? By figuring out the natural cycle of her kid, having systems in place and relax. Time batching, knowing her limits (yay for not being on all.the.platforms) and snack baskets make life so much easier. Her advice to mompreneurs: don’t try to do.it.all, have boundaries and set a time to work on your biz every day.
Jennifer Peyton lives in Ohio with her husband and two kids. She homeschools her son who has ADHD and SPD while running two businesses. She helps other homeschooling entrepreneurs simplify their business so they can create a consistent income and spend guilt free time with their family.
