Trophies are nice and all, but are they really worth it? As a former body builder, I would work hard to sculpt my body year round and chase a trophy because I thought it would make me feel more accomplished. When in all honesty, this chase did more harm than good for my mentality because my heart wasn't in it..
Trying to chase something that you think will make you feel better will never give you satisfaction. Sure it might give you a temporary high of achieving one of your goals, but if it isn't something you truly love to do, then chances are that it will hurt you more than anything.
No matter where you are on your journey, I encourage you to ask yourself if it's truly what you love to do. If you would be happy just showing up and giving it your all even if you get nothing in return, then you know you're heading in the right direction. But if you don't, then maybe it's time to stop the chase and switch your gears to find your true happy!
