The Vietnam War and Tet Offensive: The Impact of PTSD on Veterans with Steve Cox
Manage episode 394563968 series 3546450
Veteran of two tours of Vietnam, Steve Cox from Alabama talks to MindBody Matters co-host Greg Rennie about his experience in the Vietnam war, the Tet Offensive and its impact on his life. Steve was diagnosed with alcoholism, drug addiction and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder at a time that trauma from war was just being studied and understood. He hopes that his story influences military veterans returning from recent wars to ask Veteran's Affairs for help for trauma and to consider AA support regarding the common pairing of PTSD and alcohol and drug addiction.
