In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he's best known for his portrayal of Brock Rumlow, also known as Crossbones, across three major superhero films and a related series. Grillo has also made a significant impact in the action-horror genre, starring as Sergeant Leo Barnes in two installments of The Purge franchise.
