×All right, I'm just going to say it: Potatoes do not belong in your raised beds. Raised beds are the perfect place to grow almost all of your vegetables… And that's true for pretty much everything EXCEPT these guys 🥔🥔🥔 My family and I have been growing potatoes for over 10 years, and we've tried just about every single method. I have a few favorites that I'll tell you about at the end of this video. First, I'll give you my 3 reasons why I don't grow potatoes in my raised beds. Enjoy! Watch the workshop I made for you here: https://gardenary.samcart.com/products/gardenary-planting-method-youtube Learn more about which plants should NOT be grown in a raised bed here: https://www.gardenary.com/blog/which-plants-should-not-be-grown-in-a-raised-bed…
Is growing your own lettuce at home really worth it? With the help of my team member, Sydney, I’m going to break down the actual price of buying grocery store salad versus growing your own. Growing your own salad includes getting set up with a small raised bed, organic soil, seeds, and water. So how much salad do you have to grow (and eat) to break even? What about to SAVE money on grocery store visits? These numbers are going to surprise you. They may even change the way you eat salad forever! Tell us in the comments what price comparison you’d like to see next! March marks the beginning of the gardening season for many of us. Even so, planting in March can be tricky as the weather transitions from winter to spring. Here are my top 5 recommendations for what to plant in each climate—cold, mild, and warm. Get ready for an overflowing spring garden and lots of harvests coming very soon! NOTE: You’re in a cold climate if your last frost date is at least 60 days away (ex. Chicago), a mild climate if your last frost date is later this month or in April (ex. Nashville), and a warm climate if you’ve already passed or are very close to your last frost date (ex. Houston). What if I told you it’s possible to grow more food in less space with half the effort? As a busy mom of four and a business owner, I wouldn’t have been able to make gardening work for me without this planting method. So it’s safe to say that the Gardenary planting method completely changed my life. You may be surprised by where I learned this planting method originally. (Spoiler: It didn’t come from a gardening book.) In this episode, I’m going to outline my tried and true, game-changing planting method so you can implement it in your garden, too. Don’t worry—there aren’t any charts or lists of information you need to memorize about each plant. Actually, most of the things that stress you out about gardening (e.g., pests, disease, chores) are no longer an issue when you plant this way. If this sounds like something you’re down to try, this video is for you! If you have trouble pooping, then you need a garden. Yep, we’re actually going there 💩 today on the podcast because so many of us have trouble GOING. In this video, learn how the garden can make pooping easier and healthier. There are so many factors at play when you have gut issues: living in an overly sanitized world, eating poorly, experiencing too much stress, breaking your routines, not exercising, not sleeping, and so on. Here are 5 ways that having a garden can help you move things along: Getting your hands dirty (in the soil, that is) helps build your gut microbiome. You’ll have access to fresher vegetables than what you can find at the grocery store. That means your veggies have a higher water concentration and more fiber, which is critical for going #2. You'll eat a wider variety of nutrients because the grocery store only stocks foods that store well. You’ll build your routine of checking on your garden, and your gut loves a routine. Gardening is proven to lower your stress levels. Less stress means less cortisol and a less inflamed and imbalanced GI system. →Download our free Gardenary Calendar to learn when you can plant fiber-rich veggies in your garden: https://www.gardenary.com/garden-calendar →Get a customized fall plant list based on where you live and how much time you have to garden: https://www.gardenary.com/fall-garden-quiz If this was helpful, share it with a friend to help them solve their poop problem.
