Captain LeVeq is an architect from an old New Orleans family, which gives him a deep personal interest in rebuilding the city. He was raised by a strong single mother, and he sees the same strong will in Valinda. Needless to say he can't stop pining after her. It is safe to say Valinda makes Captain LeVeq stand at attention.
