Why is it a benefit to get pre-approved before you start looking at houses?

Right now, the market is very competitive and things are moving very fast. Caleb likes to spend a little bit of time with the customer to make sure that they know which costs are involved and how much they can get pre-approved for.

There are two main reasons why. First of all, knowing how much you can get pre-approved for will help you avoid wasting time on homes that you can’t afford or aren’t comfortable purchasing due to the mortgage payment. Secondly, the market is moving so fast that you need to be well-equipped to make an offer as soon as you find the home you are looking for.

It all starts with a 15-minute phone call. Caleb will ask you about your scenario and what your goals are. After that, you will send in some documents that will be put through their automated underwriting system to make sure that you are pre-qualified and pre-approved to go out and look at a home.

You can email, fax, or drop off those documents.

Finally, there are not any costs associated with the pre-approval. It’s absolutely free. It will not cost you anything to sit down and talk with your mortgage professional.
