Welcome to GB Agegroup Triathlete & World Champion Sarah Barrett. Really great to meet her and hear her journey in sport.
Sarah says " I Started running at age 36, was 3rd in my first race which was a ladies only 10k. I Joined Ipswich JAFFA, Jogging And Fitness For All, and ran Ipswich marathon in 3.36.00 and was first Lady. Became a good marathon runner with PB of 3.06.07 in 1993 at London age 45. Ran marathons all over the world.
I Moved to Bournemouth and started Triathlon in 1999 and got the bug, found out about agegroup events and have raced them ever since. I went to my first World Champs in Cancun in 2002 and came 4th. Since then have won 7 Golds in triathlon and one at Duathlon."
