In this episode of Edelman Financial Engines’ Everyday Wealth™, Jean is joined by wealth planner Andy Smith to talk about college savings options, such as 529 plans, and alternatives to a traditional college education. Later, Jean and Andy talk to Ryan Craig, managing director at Achieve Partners, and author of the upcoming, Apprentice Nation: How the “Earn and Learn” Alternative to Higher Education Will Create a Stronger and Fairer America, which will be released in November. The book is about the importance of apprenticeship as an option for education and its potential impact on the American workforce.
