At the age of 12 months, Kim Nay was adopted by an American couple stationed at a military base in Japan. After struggling with infertility, this couple adopted Kim and brought her home. Weighing only 13 lbs. at one year of age, they nursed her little body back to health. Forty-five years later, through mutual friends, Kim learned of a nonprofit organization that helps Korean adoptees take their first trip back to their homeland.
