In this pod, we discuss Michelle and Stephanie's desire to create instructional video resources for their students, in all its steps from their initial need to the production process to its implementation in their classroom practices.

As you listen...

  • You can hear the energy and academic enthusiasm from both of these teachers and their students. Consider the positive impact creating your own instructional content can have on class culture and fostering a class climate that values tech and creativity through leading by example.
  • Note the myriad of academic benefits video resources like this can provide learners.
  • Brainstorm ways in which instructional videos can support how you facilitate your own personalization model in your classroom.

Michelle's Bio: Michelle is an educator who loves to read and is passionate about teaching reading. Michelle especially appreciates the opportunities her role provides her to support reluctant or struggling readers as they grow and succeed in that area. Michelle, having completed her masters in education, is currently in the process of finishing an endorsement as a reading specialist.

Stephanie's Bio: Stephanie, a devoted wife and mother, is an enthusiastic 4th-grade teacher who is a part of our district-wide eMerge initiative. eMerge is a group of educators dedicated to learning about and implementing new tech into classroom practices while also supporting colleagues efforts with tech integration as well. Stephanie's motivation as an educator comes from her passion for helping students to realize their full potential as a learner and a person.
