We just couldn’t handle the single narrative being promoted in EVERY media piece focusing on the positivity, the delicate discussion of tricky topics, the social justice mission that this film fulfilled.

For us Barbie is plastic, a toxic brand with a thin veneer mission that society is being encouraged to embrace in order to disregard the incredibly damaging societal effects this move will have on people who make the dolls, in young girls and guys who are being sold a message cloaked in liberty but who’s fundamental ethos is all about fitting in - aesthetically, politically, emotionally.

What did you guys think? We WANT your feedback. What did we leave out? What did we get wrong? If this movie can do anything useful it’s in opening up channels of communication and transparent discourse.
