About our guest Katy Mogal
Katy combines a love of science and measurement with a deep curiosity about people. A research Swiss army knife, she’s worked in research agencies and on the client side, tackling all kinds of problems with a wide range of approaches. For the last fifteen years she’s worked as a leader in UX research and strategy, with experience at Google, Facebook, and Fitbit. She began her career in market research at LRW (now Material), where she led research projects using tools ranging from discrete choice models to in-home ethnographic research, for clients including Nike, Nestle, Electrolux and Weight Watchers. Katy has multiple academic degrees, has taught in various design programs, and has lived in several countries. She now resides in Rome, where she consults and advises start-ups, serves on advisory boards and studies Italian.
