To many, myself included, death is one of the scariest and most “real” topics that exists. That’s why today I’m super excited to welcome to the show Jane Whitlock.
Jane is a trained “death doula” who provides guidance for individuals and families during the end-of-life process. She started her work after taking care of her husband who died after a 4 month illness with kidney cancer.
In this interview she shares:
- what can happen to your values when you accompany people through the death process
- specific “death practices” you can model to remind yourself of the preciousness of life
- how to avoid critical mistakes that leave your family “holding the bag” after we pass
- how to live life so at the end you’re at peace
- how to handle the question of when to fight a diagnsosis and when to accept it
- and much more.
