Omar Lababedi is a British Syrian entrepreneur and men's work coach who was raised in France, Syria, Lebanon, and Nigeria. After years working in the real estate investment and construction sectors, Omar was professionally unsatisfied and personally unhappy. Deciding he needed a change, he left his job and embarked on a journey of self-reflection and personal development work in search of his purpose. With the help of daily practises, professional coaching and a men’s circle group, Mankind Project, Omar went on to co-found Growth Velocity Academy, an international tech academy operates across several cities in the Middle East. Now eyeing up his next business venture in the mental health space, Omar talks to Third Culture Therapy about battling the inner critic, how somatic work helps and why men need to bond with and love other men more.
