Today’s guest is John Roman, CMO of BattlBox and Managing partner at The Carnivore Club.
BattlBox is a giant in the subscription world of Tactical and Survival Gear. They offer high quality items to help prepare you for camping, survival and the outdoors with all the gear and knowledge needed. Includes everything from knives, to tents to emergency supplies. Even some super cool branded tees and hats. BattlBox has been ranked #1 in Tactical and Survival by UrbanTastebud, My Subscription addiction, and HelloSubscription.

Carnivore Club. The name says it all. They are a meat subscription service that has a Canadian and American base. Carnivore Club has been recognized on Dragon’s Den, USA Today, Urban Tastebud and My subscription addiction.

After leading several successful sales organizations in the telecommunications and software space for almost a decade, John began investing in companies predominantly in the eCommerce arena. A close college friend was launching BattlBox in early 2015 and John knew he had to be involved, so he invested in it.

BattlBox started to see growth and the demand for John’s time increased, so in early 2016, John made the decision to step away from his role with a software company to join the BattlBox full-time. John now serves as the CMO.

Since BattlBox, John has been involved in several eCommerce company launches, participated in 2 successful exits, and acquired 3 companies. In July 2019, John led a team to acquire Carnivore Club and now serves as Managing Partner.
