From a very young age, Celeste and her family were homeless while she and her siblings endured an abusive upbringing from their stepfathers.
Later in life she reached a point where she no longer desired to go on and was considering suicide.
But inside, a tiny little spark of hope whispered to her that her future was worth living for.
Over the years, she has learned that no matter the odds, no matter your circumstances or hardships - no one can define you, but you.
Today, she is the founder of Days for Girls International, a global award-winning organization that has reached more than 3 million women and girls in 145 countries.
She helps people see their strengths, trust their resilience, bridge difficult divides and lean in to build a brighter future together.
Her journey shows us the power of overcoming and what it means to be the author of your story.
