In this episode, Eileen and Hannah interview Maddie of Kneading Dough Baking Company in Lee's Summit, MO to learn how to bake a simple bread from scratch.

Try Maddie's bread recipe for yourself at home! Recipe below:
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup warm water
2 1/4 tsp of yeast
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
2 tablespoons olive oil.
Instructions:
1. Combine water and sugar until dissolved then put in yeast until it blooms. Add flour and salt into separate bowl. Then combine water yeast mixture to flour and add olive oil. Mix until combined then Knead for 5-10 minutes, until when you press dough with your finger it bounces back.
2. Let rest for 1 hour or until double in size in a clean bowl with some oil coating the sides.
3. Preheat oven to 400°. After proofing Dough take it out and punch air out and shape it into desired shape, placing it in a bread pan or on a sheet. Let rest for 20 minutes.
4. After rested bake in oven for 20 minutes.
5. Remove from oven. If in a pan, let rest for 5 minutes, then remove from pan to cool to the rest of the way.
