Ep 27: Do We Have to Be Thankful for Trauma? Turning Pain into Purpose & Overcoming Victimhood
Manage episode 388802833 series 2711781
Past traumas, whether they happened recently or decades ago, have a massive impact on how we navigate the world and interact with people around us. The healing process can feel uncomfortable and bring up past wounds, but there can be purpose found in uncovering the root of our pain and any additional dysfunctional patterns. While that doesn’t mean the things we’ve experienced are fair, it does mean that we can share our mental, emotional and spiritual recovery journeys with others who share similar stories. Being intentional with bettering ourselves psychologically means we have more capacity to show up for ourselves, and our loved ones. That means we all have the capacity to make the world a better, safer and kinder place.
How can we balance acknowledging past hardships, while healing and using that as fuel to help others? Watch as our host Abi McIlrath is joined by guests Marcia Cassidy and Dominy Roe in the Magnify Studio for Do We Have to Be Thankful for Trauma? Turning Pain into Purpose & Overcoming Victimhood.
