Prof El-Khuffash, speaks openly to Laura during this podcast episode about the growing 'cancel culture' on social media, speaking the truth and why he decided to remove an article he published on social media due to the aftermath of experiencing the effects of 'Cancel Culture' first hand. Afif also shares his opinion on neonatal/maternity research funding, and the introduction of IVF funding in Ireland for all.
On a more personal front, Afif, also speaks openly about how he experienced war firsthand as a child growing up in Kuwait and how he and his wife now work and live in Ireland with their children.
Prof EL-Khuffash is a Consultant Neonatologist and Paediatrician. He is a qualified International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. His two primary clinical and research areas of expertise are heart function in neonates and the promotion of breastfeeding, and breastfeeding support, to new mothers. He also has extensive expertise in general feeding issues encountered by babies over the first few months.
