1. Immigration Resources for Families

A Family Resource Toolkit is available to you in English and Spanish, and contains information and resources about rights, current DPS policies, training, mental health support, DPS resources, community resources and more. The toolkit is a comprehensive guide designed to assist families in creating personalized action plans in case of deportation or prolonged absence. It provides practical tools and advice on organizing critical documents, managing legal and financial matters, and developing communication strategies. Please take a few minutes to review this resource. We have both the English and Spanish toolkits.

2. Extended Learning and Community Schools: Summer Camp Registration
DPS' Extended Learning and Community Schools (ELCS) will be offering three different camp options this summer, including:

3. Nominate a Student and Adult for the Asian Education Advisory Council Annual Award
The Asian Education Advisory Council (AEAC) seeks to empower Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) students in DPS by promoting positive AAPI identities and active engagement with their schools and communities. Every year, the AEAC recognizes DPS students, ECE-12th grade, who demonstrate positive AAPI identities. Nominations for the 2025 Awards are now open through March 10. For students in third grade and up, we ask that they submit a short essay about how elements of AAPI cultures have helped them be successful in DPS.

4. School-Based Mental Health Services
Libby Malone and Cristina DeCuir-Delgado, nationally certified school psychologists, discuss the school-based mental health resources available for students at DPS. Libby and Crisitina also share tips for parents on supporting their students as they navigate the school year. You can listen and watch the video in English and Spanish, or listen on your favorite podcast platform by searching for the Denver Public School Podcast Network.

5. 100th Day of School
Mark your calendars for Thursday, Jan. 30, for the Centennial Celebration to celebrate the 100th day of the 2024–25 school year! Students, teachers and staff are invited to dress as if you've reached the age of 100. Be creative and have fun! Let’s make it a week to remember!
