Jesus the answer
In John 14:6 Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to Father except through me.
With these words Jesus answered three ultimate questions that everyone of us will have at some point in our lives. First Question, where am I going in life? Am I going to follow the money trail, am I going to devote my life to indulging myself in every pleasure my heart desires? This is a question about direction, and Jesus says, don’t go in circles. This path has no destination, there will never be enough money or enough pleasure to satisfy you, instead follow me, I will take you home, I am the way.
Second question, who can I trust to tell me the truth? In a word in which everyone is a self-proclaimed guru and expert, who do I believe? Listen, in the market, anytime an item is on high demand, the market produces counterfeits or fakes. The truth is on high demand and Satan has all the fakes that look very close to the real thing. This question is about who can we trust? Jesus is saying, I cannot be replicated, that’s why he said, I am the truth.
Last question, why am I here? Are we more than a sack of flesh and bones aimlessly traveling through time, like zombies? Let me tell you that apart from God we are spiritually dead, like zombies. But thanks to Jesus our bodies become temples of God and the Holy Spirit. You see this question is about purpose. And Jesus is saying that through him our purpose is to live life in its fullness. That’s why he said I’m am the life.
