Plastic and reconstructive surgery involves so much more than a little nip here and a little tuck there. In this episode, Dr. Ross Sayadi, a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Resident Physician at the University of California Irvine, tells his story of how he got into medical school, the research projects he has been involved in, and the various medical tools and inventions he has developed in the lab and at home that are now being used in practice with patients. We discuss the different kinds of plastic surgery, his research on micro/nanobubbles for tissue oxygenation and wound treatment, the iPhone app he created called OR Stencil, and so much more.
