To Live & Let Live | How Allowing Others to be Themselves Helps You Embrace Your Own Individuality Similarity is overrated. If each of us lost the unique aspects of ourselves, that no one else has, the world would feel a little greyer. Knowing this, that the variety among us is often what brings colour to our lives, why not be less particular about the differences we embrace? More specifically, why don't we make a concerted effort to try and build a bridge to see the value that exists between our perspective and someone else's. For all intents and purposes we have reasons for believing in the things we do, and it would follow that others have their reasons for believing otherwise. So why not make an effort to see the value in an alternative perspective? Not to change your own, or to gather intel to persuade others to your view on things... but to sit in stillness and hold space for different. Our journeys are as unique as we are. It makes sense that we each carry, and will carry, beliefs that enable us to accomplish to things that embracing our own becoming will allow. So next time you become glaringly aware of the difference between you and someone else... lean in. Do you have any questions?
