In this episode, we speak with Joo Ha Hwang, MD, PhD who is a Professor of Medicine in Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Stanford University. We'll discuss why gastric cancer often goes undiagnosed until later stages, the lack of specific guidelines for screening and treatment in Asian populations, the prevalence and primary risk factors for gastric cancer, particularly H. pylori infection, with a focus on East Asians' elevated risk.
