The Birth of Spiritual Pizza
When Buzz was on his vision quest, he heard about Kalalau Valley and Spiritual Pizza a lot. So many times that it seemed to be beyond coincidence. Then Buzz started living in Hawaii nine months later, and once again he started hearing about Kalalau Valley and Spiritual Pizza.
Nine months after Buzz had moved to Hawaii, it was his 50th birthday and he hiked into Kalalau valley for a slice of Spiritual Pizza. Not the actual pizza, but something more like spiritual comfort food, to get him through some tough times.
Not that times were tough when Buzz hiked in. It’s just that he knew if he continued on living life extemporaneously, he would soon have to start living in the jungle. He might as well get ready for it now.
If you listened the previous episode, you may recall that his first ever Spiritual Pizza happened the night Ric chocked Brenna. It sure was a spiritual experience, but not the typical kind.
And that month Buzz spent living in Kalalau helped him face the hardship that a change in life style was going to bring about in the coming months.
