Traditional banks often lack personalized service, and local businesses struggle to find true partnership in financial institutions. Meanwhile, higher education faces scrutiny over relevance and ROI in a world where information is nearly free. Harry Allen helped launch Studio Bank to blend technology with high-touch service, fueled by community investment. At Belmont, he's applying the same entrepreneurial mindset to modernize university operations and embed practical learning experiences, like a one-of-a-kind partnership with Dolly Parton, into academia. In this episode, Harry L. Allen, co-founder of Studio Bank and now CFO at Belmont University, unpacks the bold vision behind launching a community-first bank in a city dominated by financial giants. He shares the leadership lessons that shaped his journey, how to lead through crisis, and why mentorship is the key to filling today's leadership vacuum. Key Takeaways Leveraging both financial and social capital creates a unique, community-first banking model. High-tech doesn't mean low-touch, Studio Bank fused innovation with personal relationships. Leadership means showing up, especially during crisis. Universities must shift from being information hubs to delivering real-world experience. Succession and mentorship are vital to cultivating the next generation of leaders. Chapters 00:00 Introduction to Harry L. ×Joe is out again this week, but we've got some big lore dumps to go over. When Brandon starts giving answers, he doesn't do it halfway. It's awesome! Also, here's the Worldswappers website I mention during the wrap-up. Check it out if you're going to DSNX25 and want to participate: https://worldswappers.com/…
We are 4 once again, and just in time for a really interesting flashback and some killer character stuff on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!
Some big things happening as we go from the end of part 1 to the beginning of part 2, but also, our first batch of interludes. I'm afraid we're going to be killing a certain hope that our crew has been cherishing since the end of the last book.
We come face-to-face with one of the Unmade, and it's ... a trip. Joe's still on hiatus, but the rest of the crew has thoughts.
Joe is absent for a bit, but we and the characters are learning some interesting stuff. Shallan's reaction to who really killed her brother? Unexpected but maybe not really? And young Dalinar seems to actually have some character development? Will wonders never cease.
This may be the last time for a while that we have the whole crew for the episode. So enjoy! It's time for Veil's big night on the town.
Jaymee was sick this week, but we've got one of my personal favorite Dalinar flashbacks. The others ... well, there's not a lot of love for young Dalinar, but who can blame them, really?
Joe is back, but we lost Jaymee this week. Crazy. Anyway, this week features wrestling, politics, and swordsmanship, but absolutely NO MATING!
The good, the bad, and the omg no all mixed on this week's Sanderlanche. Stay tuned through the end for a special Joe appearance.
Joe is gone this week, but we've got a couple of interesting chapters here and some top tier digressions.
Kaladin's visit home takes on a very different tone from last time, and Dalinar has a meeting of his inner circle which is interrupted by yet another murder. Some interesting tidbits in this one for sure. Who killed this guy, and why did they stage it exactly like the previous murder? Find out the crew's theories on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!…
The whole crew is back, and Kaladin is back as well. He's home, and things are ... well, it's Hearthstone.
We've begun Oathbringer, and already we know it's the Dalinar flashback book and that Dalinar was ... a bit different as a young man. This seems like it might be interesting.
Dac is gone this week, but he sent in some thoughts as we wrap up Edgedancer. We've got some predigments panning out and some things that no one on the crew could have predicted even if you gave them four and a half thousand years. Tune in to see what I mean on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!…
The midsection of Edgedancer has some of our crew getting a little tired of Lift. Where will they end up on our diminutive protagonist? Find out on next week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

The Sanderlanche Podcast

We're starting in on the novella set between Words or Radiance and Oathbringer. Lift is back! The reactions are ... mixed. Check out how the crew is feeling on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

We live read a small portion of chapter 88. It went up on Patreon first, and now here it is for everyone. Enjoy!
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

We did it! We've reached the end of Words of Radiance and all the craziness that goes along with that. Go down the rabbit hole of unexpected appearances, unexpected deaths, and unexpected ... un-deaths on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

The assassin has arrived, at the most awkward possible moment to boot. You think that was intentional, or did he just coincidentally arrive in the middle of a giant battle right before a highstorm collides with a new, never-before-seen-on-Roshar second storm? Can our heroes finally put a stop to his murderous rampage? Even Szeth would probably prefer the answer to be "Yes" on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!…
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

The Sanderlanche gets into full swing with battling on the plains and a more private but no less pivotal battle between friends. Things are looking dour on all sides, but our heroes can pull it out, surely? As long as no super powered assassins step into the mix to tilt the scales further, but that almost never happens. We almost certainly shouldn't have to worry about that on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!…

The Sanderlanche Podcast

The Sanderlanche is kicking off, and it's going to be crazy!
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

Part 5 has begun, and you can feel the pace ramping up. Has the Sanderlanche truly begun? Perhaps. Perhaps not, but if it hasn't, you can certainly feel the stormwall's approach on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

Everyone else had issues this week preventing them from recording. So I decided that I would give you guys some general thoughts on Wind and Truth. Be careful, all spoilers are on the table. In addition, since you hear enough of me already, I recruited a special guest to help me with this. This is a very different sort of episode of The Sanderlanche! In addition, the previous Holiday Special episode gets a lot of references in this one. So if you haven't watched that one, check it out! https://youtu.be/zPDfgwvwE84?si=ZBWJsvAu1oz-9xlW…
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

The last set of interludes for this book, and while 12 and 13 definitely present some interesting bits of info, it's 14 that really has the crews' wheels turning.

Jaymee is out this time, but the rest of the crew is back at it, working our way through book 2 of the Stormlight Archive now that Baby Break 3 is done!
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

Our last new WoR episode for a while. Baby Break 3 begins next week. Also, I know my audio quality on this one is not the best. Sadly I didn't catch it until editing by which point there wasn't much to be done. We're nearing the end of Part 4, and it shows as Kaladin and Shallan make their way through the chasms on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!…

The Sanderlanche Podcast

Our last record before I head off to DSNX24. So there won't be a new episode next week. And we're leaving it at an interesting moment. Has the whole crew fallen into a chasm? Book done? Time to go home? It sort of looks that way on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

Back from a break, and we're hitting some stuff that the crew is ... not thrilled about. Maybe that's a common feeling at this point. Check out what I mean on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

Dac is still out this episode, but the rest of us are here, and we've got a bit of a downer set of chapters here. Between Eshonai's new personality, Kaladin's imprisonment, and Shallan's flashback, this isn't exactly a cheerful section. Still, it presents us some opportunity to theorize on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!…
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

Dac is gone for a couple of weeks, but the other three of us are talking about Lift and Szeth this week. Mainly Lift to be honest, but there's a lot to be said about that little Edgedancer. She's a point of contention among the fandom, so see where Jaymee and Joe fall on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!…

"Honor's dead, but I'll see what I can do." We're there, people, and it's an experience on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

Jaymee is out again, but we're pushing through with three more chapters. Some good times and some groans from our crew as we're hit with several surprises and some interesting predictions on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

We're back from our break, and we've got some interesting stuff to talk about with these chapters. What is Amaram really up to? Was Gavilar part of it? And what are the Ghostbloods up to? We have no idea, but it's fun to guess on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

Jaymee is out again, but the other three of us are hard at work proposing wild theories and indulging in long, sometimes bizarre tangents. So, you know, we've got that going for us on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

The flashback in this section contains some very interesting possibilities. The current-day chapter has almost as many. And is that Hoid that we're seeing here, there, and everywhere? It might just be.
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

Just a couple of chapters this week, but some fairly eventful ones, including the reveal of the Ghostbloods, though our crew is still certain they're hiding around every corner. Some interesting thoughts to hear on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

No Jaymee this week, but you know who we do have? Shallan and Kaladin. And you know what they're doing? Stuff. That's right, stuff. They're flashing back. They're falling off walls. They're just all over the storming place. Check it out on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

Long episode this week. Not even all that much actually happened, but this was a big week for tangents. So if you're here for the tangents, this is the episode for you. Warning: Deadpool and Wolverine spoilers at the end of the episode.
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

7 chapters this time, including all the interludes between these two parts. So a lot to go over, including at least one revelation that was absolutely shocking to our crew and another revelation that they didn't understand at all but shocked a character in the book to his very core. So there's something for everyone I guess on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!…

The Sanderlanche Podcast

We've known it was coming all book. We've been waiting for it, wondering when the hammer would fall. The assassin in white has been in the wings, but when would he make himself known? It wasn't the end of part 1. It wasn't the chapter called, "Assassin." When, storms curse you, when?! Now. It's now, on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche.…

Look, yall, some stuff happened. Is anyone really to blame? Maybe. But why dwell, right?
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

Joe didn't make it this episode, but Dac and Jaymee have some thoughts. Between Kaladin on the sparring ground and Shallan on the road, interesting things are happening on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!
T
The Sanderlanche Podcast

Part 2 of the book is well and truly begun. Kaladin is being loaded down with work, and Shallan is trying to Jasnah her way to the top. Somehow it's all going relatively well on this week's episode of the Sanderlanche. ... It can't last.

Two repeat Interlude characters. Rysn returns from last book and Eshonai from earlier in this same set of interludes. Then we return to Shallan. Some interesting stuff happening here. Too bad Jaymee was out with a cold.
