Art is a NYC based entertainment journalist, who runs myNewYorkeye and also freelances for NY Amsterdam News and other outlets. He's very passionate about Diversity and Inclusion in the entertainment industry and otherwise, and his focus is on relevant subjects. Art is an experienced IT professional who worked in Software Engineering and Program Management, with extensive experience in the E-commerce & Financial Services industry along with expertise in Web and Mobile domains. He is a business-focused technology leader, who bridges the gap between business and technology. He has hired, formed, trained and mentored multiple teams in a globally distributed environment. He has worked with several reputed organizations in such as New York Stock Exchange, Weight Watchers, Scholastic, Sprint and Starwood Hotels. Art has been an artist and creative since very young age, actively involved in acting, writing and directing several plays and productions during school and college; and also served as Editor of his college magazine. At age 16, he won an award for a single-act play-writing national competition. After moving to the US, he attended New York Film Academy to study TV & Films and then spent over a year training at Acting Studio in New York City for Meisner Training. He has also completed Robert Mckee's reputed Story Writing Seminar and Training program. Along with participating in student films, shorts and Off-Broadway theater, he has been working with Amsterdam News as special writer for Entertainment, Media & Arts. He's also co-creator of the multimedia children properties Boogaloo and Lady, The Smiling Pitbull, with Lapacazo Sandoval. As a self-acknowledged New Yorker, who’s truly passionate about entertainment, art and new media technology, which motivated him to bring it all together in the shape of myNewYorkeye.
