Your heart sinks, and that is what you hear in your head as you slump into your chair.
That is what it feels like when our ideas get rejected, right?
It hurts… a lot sometimes because our ideas can start to feel like an extension of us. We spend any time talking to friends or debating in a meeting with coworkers, and we realize that we are very rarely ever going to be on the same page about everything.
