Manage episode 362339102 series 3401195
In today's powerful episode, Amy and Par delve deep into the topic of mental health in motherhood. They share their own experiences from pregnancy to delivery to postpartum and how and why they wish certain topics were more openly discussed at the time, especially the concept of how when a baby is born so is a mother and what that really means. This episode is essentially their love letter to new moms everywhere.
Amy and Par also speak with Dr. Saumya Dave, a writer, psychiatrist, and mental health advocate, about the challenges new moms (and even seasoned ones) face postpartum, including the flood of emotions, the comparison trap, relationship dynamics, etc.
