Most, if not all of us, have heard of Post-Traumatic Stress, but have you ever heard of Post-Traumatic Growth? Did you know that positive psychological change can be experienced as a result of the struggle with highly challenging life circumstances?

People who endure psychological struggle following adversity can often see positive growth afterwards. This episode will prove that suffering can, in fact, have transformative power!

On this powerful and enlightening episode, Wren and Brittany will talk about Post-Traumatic Growth, and it's five categories on the self-reporting scale (1. appreciation of life, 2. relationships with others, 3. new possibilities in life, 4. personal strength, 5. spiritual change) and whether they believe they have achieved or not.

Post Traumatic Growth is the process of adapting while in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress. PTG is capable of changing one's personality as a whole. It's an enlightened mental state and only comes about if there's trauma.

"When transformational coping is negative, one is likely to succumb to stress and revert to depression and worry. However, if the transformational coping is positive, it invites a surge of survival instincts, a higher level of recovery, and an increased inner strength to sale through the adversity."
