The Man From Nowhere, No Tears for the Dead, and Jo Pil-Ho: The Dawning Rage are a trilogy of hyperviolent noir action crimers created and released over about ten years that aren't linked narratively, but are arguably linked thematically. Each present dangerous, violent men with specialist training as an anti-hero lead and uses them as a way to explore empathy, moral ambiguity and ultimately humanity. With varying degrees of success.
