We can’t talk about W.I.J.D. without talking about demons.
1 John 3:8 “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” 61x’s Gospels Jesus is dealing with devils.

Matthew 8:16-17 “And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”

Mark 1:39 “And He was preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out demons.”

We have a mandate:

Mark 16:17-19 “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; … they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Luke 13:10 “Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, …

“Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd,…

“There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.”

The Lord then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it?

So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?” And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.”

“Ought” (dei):– a necessity of law and command, of duty, equity necessity established by the counsel and decree of God.

Jesus was legally bound to release this woman form her affliction. There was a heavenly obligation to fulfill.

“Being” (on):– being. Present participle … it is active … at work right now.

NOT —“I want to be a believer.” BUT — “I am being a believer.”

Psalm 103:2-3 “Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,”

Isaiah 53:4-5 “Surely He has borne our griefs (SICKNESSES) And carried our sorrows (PAIN); … But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”

1 Peter 2:24 “… who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”

Mark 2:9. “Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk?’”

Proverbs 17:22 (AMP) “A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.”

Let’s Cover These Four Things:

We need both: Discipleship and Deliverance.

Matthew 12:22 “Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.”

Daimonizomai:– to have or be vexed by a demon. Does not denote ownership.

Can light dwell with darkness?

2 Corinthians 6:14 “And what communion has light with darkness?”

2 Corinthians 5:17 “…new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

Ephesians 5:8 “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”

Ephesians 4:27 “…nor give place to the devil.”

topos:– place, any portion or space marked off, opportunity, power, occasion for acting.

Buick commercial … “Did you lock the car?” Locks car with app.

“Did you close the windows?

Pigeons have filled the apartment.

Pigeons don’t own the apartment but they have moved in and will influence things until removed.

3 Pronged Attack Of Enemy

Deception – lies vain imaginations. Temptation – follows deception. Accusation – rubs it in your face.

Ephesians 6:11 “…take your stand against the devil’s schemes”

“Methodeia”:— to journey behind, to study, craft.

Good News!!! If you are experiencing any form of bondage … Jesus sets you completely free!!!

John 8:32 “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

It is not a power struggle. — It is primarily a truth struggle.

1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment.”

1 Corinthians 13:8 “Love never fails.”
