Cosplayers Shift to Video

Heroes of Cosplay Sanctuary

Will cosplayers be able to keep up with platform shifts to short video clips?
Because it wants to be more like YouTube and TikTok and soon you’ll be seeing recommended videos in your feed in addition to ads every 4 posts.

Organic on social is nearly dead. Posts are very difficult to see, and even difficult to see when you pay.

Now you have to create videos and be very clever with how to distribute and market them to reach a new potential audience.

What do you do?

Are there newer platforms coming out that are less crappy in terms of the investment to the user? Content creating isn’t what it once was – we’re going to see the rise of the videographer which means anyone in the photography space is going to have to pivot if they’re mainstay is content creators on one of these platforms.

Are we closing in on Virtual everything with Meta – which is the larger overarch to Instagram – will everything be Meta in a few years and, if so – what happens to cosplay creators?
